Questions
The ones worth
asking first.
No. You tell us which cards you hold and we build your calendar from that. Connecting transactions is optional, and even then we treat it as assistance rather than truth — an inferred balance is always shown as a suggestion you confirm, never asserted as fact. A wrong balance is worse than no balance.
You could, and some people do. The work is not the list, it is maintaining it — issuers change terms, enrollment requirements and qualifying merchant logic constantly, and there is no feed for any of it. We maintain that corpus so your calendar stays correct without you re-reading a benefits guide every January.
Membership, and a commission when you book a hotel through us. The commission never affects what we recommend — ranking is commission-blind by construction rather than by policy. We would rather tell you the cheaper direct booking is better and keep the membership.
The compensation engine is strongest in Europe, where EU261 and UK261 create real statutory entitlements. Card credit coverage is deepest in the US, where premium card density is highest. Both work; which one carries more value depends on where you fly.
At some properties, yes — those running the check-in platforms we integrate with, plus serviced apartments, which are digital by design. At the major chains, no: check-in and digital keys are locked to their own apps. We show you which is which at booking rather than letting you discover it in a lobby.
